Welcome to Bluebird Training
Bluebird Training’s primary aim is to provide high quality transport training for organisations throughout the North East of England.
Bluebird Training is approved by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) as an Approved Training centre for the delivery of Periodic Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). As such it is subject to regular Quality Assurance Audit by JAUPT.
What is the purpose of Driver CPC?
To improve the knowledge and skills of lorry, bus and coach drivers, helping:
- road safety (and thus all road users)
- the road freight and passenger transport industries (better staff performance, better recruitment and retention, more economical vehicle usage)
- professional drivers (skill levels and maintenance, career opportunities, professionalism)
- the environment (reduced fuel consumption and vehicle wear)
Bluebird Training can offer training to the public and private sectors. We currently provide the majority of Periodic Driver CPC training for Northumberland County Council.
As a relatively small organisation, we are able to be flexible in our approach and can tailor our training to meet the specific requirements of your company or organisation.
We can be flexible in where we deliver training; we have a training room in Hexham, or depending on your facilities, we can deliver training at your own premises or any other location of your choice. We are aware of the pressures on operators to ‘keep the wheels turning’ and can deliver training at weekends and bank holidays in order to minimise down time.
Bluebird Training is a commercial trading arm of Adapt (North East) and, as such, is a social enterprise. Any profit made is ploughed back into developing Bluebird Training and supporting Adapt (NE)’s primary function as an organisation providing services for people with disabilities and other disadvantaged people.
